About Tom:
Tom Giunta is a financial planner with Cove Financial, with nearly a decade of experience in the industry. He graduated from Seton Hall University with a degree in Economics and a minor in Business Administration. Tom is also the founder of Cove Financial, a company that was built on the values of taking a unique focus to clients’ needs and wants while integrating a proactive tax advantaged approach. He has completed a Certification as a Holistic Financial Coach through Colombia University and is currently in the process of obtaining his CFP® designation from the University of Miami.
Throughout his whole life, it has been Tom’s mission to help serve and better the community. He believes it starts with financial literacy, which is largely what drove him into the industry. It has been a passion of his to help raise financial awareness in the community and help build better financial literacy. Growing up, he saw numerous times how one unexpected financial turn can derail a financial plan, and this drove home the importance of always needing to be financially prepared regardless of what life throws at you. He has always had a dedication to giving back and making the world a better place not only financially, but socially as well.
In his high school years, Tom was part of an executive committee at his school that raised funds for muscular dystrophy (MDA). In his senior year, they raised $221,226, and Tom had the honor of being flown out to Las Vegas to present the check over live television on the Jerry Lewis MDA telethon. They were the largest youth fundraiser in the country at the time. Tom continues to give back and help the community through The Rotary Club, where their mission is to make the community a better place by providing scholarships to college and trade students who do not have access to the resources that others may have available to them.
Tom Giunta sees himself as a financial educator, drawing inspiration from his family’s background in teaching. He believes that, as a financial planner, his role is to help clients better understand the real-world financial situations that impact them daily, and make informed decisions based on their individual goals and objectives. For Tom, the most important aspect of his work is helping clients visualize where they are now and where they want to be in the future. He is passionate about making the world a better place through promoting financial literacy and building better financial awareness among his clients and the community at large.
